Frequently Asked Questions

Direct Primary Care is not new, but it may be a new concept to you. If your questions are not answered below, please make sure to reach out!

What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative alternative payment model improving access to high functioning healthcare with a simple, flat, affordable membership fee. The cornerstone of DPC is a direct relationship with your health care provider in return creating an exceptional patient experience.

Do you take insurance?

No, Direct Primary Care (DPC) operates outside of the insurance world which is what allows us to provide direct services to you! This way we're accountable to you rather than your insurance company.

Do I still need insurance?

While you do not need insurance to be our patient, we do still strongly recommend you have insurance to provide coverage for services we cannot provide (surgeries, ER visits, hospitalizations). DPC generally pairs well with lower annual cost, high deductible plans but works with any insurance and is a great resource for uninsured individuals or the person who values timely access to a physician they trust.

Can I use HSA money to pay for DPC?

Honestly, this is not yet clear! We recommend you discuss this with your tax accountant. However, you can use your HSA funds to cover other services not included in your membership such as medications, labs & imaging.

Why Direct Primary Care

The model is simple and we think you'll love it!

Better Health Outcomes

Patients achieve superior health outcomes with Direct Primary Care's innovative service delivery. DPCs provide better access to physicians, empower an authentic therapeutic relationship, and comprehensive patient care.

Lower Costs

Affordable, transparent costs based on a periodic overall flat rate (i.e. membership or subscription). Patients pay for their care directly to the physician. No third parties or Fee for Service billing ("FFS") to inflate costs. Most DPC memberships/subscriptions cost less than the average cell phone bill.

The average cost of a acute needs office visit is $184

Enhanced Patient Experience

Patients receive unrestrictive access to their doctor, report little to no wait time, and longer appointments (in person, virtually, or phone). In turn, creating a real therapeutic relationship between patient and provider.

In a traditional office, there are 5 staff for every physician.

This is not concierge medicine

Concierge's medicine operates in the insurance fee-for-service world in addition to charging large monthly or annual fees. This model provides improved access and experiences for patients but still drives up the primary care health care costs.

Hmm. I think I like this,

Can you give me an example?
